Our holiday house in Brittany, Côtes d'Armor. Presentation

WELCOME TO THIS PRESENTATION OF OUR HOUSE IN COTES D'ARMOR, IN BRITTANY   

Geographical situation:

Ideal location to visit this lovely part of the northern coast of Brittany, the rocky shores and sandy beaches between Saint Brieuc and Roscoff, with famous sites such as Paimpol, Tréguier, Brehat island,  the Pink Granite Coast and other scenic spots, villages, harbours, churches, granite cities...all within easy reach of our house, located near the beautiful and touristic granite city of PONTRIEUX, famous for its old houses and  washing-houses along the river, its harbour, its artists, craftsmen, steam train...

The scenery on the coast is breathtaking, and the tide amplitude makes it all the more attractive. There are many spots of interest, be careful, a week is not enough to see them all!

Our house

We will accomodate up to 7 people. The house is spacious, though  we only offer two bedrooms, plus a convertible sofa in the large sitting-room. The house is a typical "longère", i.e a stone house, later extended and recently renovated; now it's a comfortable, cosy, safe and very pleasant place, where you will be able to enjoy yourself, and relax after your visits in the area. 

You will particularly like the "japanese" bedroom, with its extra-large bed, as welle as the cosy lounge with its fireplace and cheerful colours; the latest innovation is the new second bathroom (the first one has been totally renovated ): imagine relaxing in the swirling hot tub before a sauna (latest technology, with infra-reds), enjoying the "in' technologies chromotherapy and ion-sprayer...


The garden is nice, with a recent lawn, typical flowers from the area...You will love the place, and the view. No visible neighbours, it's a rural area, and the little road past the house is only used by the few locals. So it's a very quiet place, with birds, rabbits, sometimes a fox...  From the top of our little hill, you have a nice view towards the river valley and the surrounding fields.

ACTIVITIES

Within easy walking reach, you get to the riverside, or to the beautiful castle nearby and its outstanding park (free entrance).  You can  also walk along the river...good spot for fishing too !

Are you longing for the beach ? You will have a large choice, the nearest one is about 8kms away; from rocky shores to long sandy beaches, taste a different one each day ! Do as the locals, choose it according to the tide hours !

Do you prefer more sportive holidays ? Well, you and your family will be able to practise various activities : canoeing (in Pontrieux and other places), fishing, sailing, horse-riding, mountain-biking, golf... All along the summer, there is a very interesting formula that enables everyone (child and adult) to discover various sports as well as take part in cultural activities, for extremely reasonable prices !

For children, there are some leisure parks (20 and 40 kms away)

To know more about the culture, traditions, and past of the "Bretons", there are some museums, exhibitions, local feasts..., particularly in summer.
